Our Story
Since 1946, Columbia Block & Brick has been South Mississippi’s trusted source for quality building materials and masonry products. Founded in downtown Columbia, Mississippi by J.D. Pickett and his son-in-law Ray Pittman, we are proud to be the oldest continuously owned and operated block plant in the state. Now based in Hattiesburg, our legacy continues with the same strong foundation of values we started with: dependable service, honest work, and unmatched product knowledge.
What started as a small-town block plant has grown into a full-service building material store, serving homeowners, contractors, and DIYers throughout the Gulf South region.
